At the age of 9, Nikki Hall was designing lesson plans and camp curriculum for her friends and their hobbyhorse steeds. Apprenticeships and upper-level Pony Club ratings fueled this passion and led to over two decades of teaching horsemanship - including 14 years at the helm of a full-scale riding school. Nikki created HorseSense Learning Levels in 2007 with the goal of encouraging well-rounded horsemanship and giving entry-level students a means of achievement outside of competition. In 2020, she partnered with her mother Dana to share the curriculum with a wider audience, and the Learning Levels are now being used by over 1000 instructors in 12 different countries. When she isn’t writing or teaching lessons, Nikki spends her free time caring for her menagerie of animals and a wild and woolly hobby farm in the north Georgia mountains.
